Catholic Charities is pleased to announce ten new registered nurses who have completed the Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course. The course offers registered nurses an educational and spiritual program based on the core curriculum developed by the International Parish Nurse Resource Center. The course was offered at Our Lady of the Lake Retreat Center, Guthrie, Ok, from October 17-21, 2011. Over 180 nurses have attended the Oklahoma program.
For more information please contact Mary Diane Steltenkamp RN, MAPM, Director of Faith Community Nursing at Catholic Charities, 405-523-3006, or email Mary Diane.
Best Wishes to Anne Broderick
A farewell party was held for Anne in December at Mary Diane’s home. She is moving to Illinois to be near her family. Anne led the Faith Community Nurses at St. John the Baptist Church for several years and has remained an enthusiastic supporter of faith community nursing. We wish her well and peace as she makes her journey.
